Who may participate as competitor?

 

The shooting event is open to all practical shooting enthusiasts who may register under any of the IPSC Divisions/Category. Registration fee is PhP500.

 

ALL Rotarians will compete against each other under the categories Rotarian, Visionary Presidents, and District Officer.

 

A group of four (4) registered shooters may also register as a team for additional PhP500 and compete under the Rotary Team category, three (3) highest scores to count. The team composition must be at least two (2) Rotarians plus two (2) sponsored shooter that will carry the name of a Rotary Club.

 

Shooters must bring their own firearms, bullets and rig.

 

Rotarians who would like to use house guns may coordinate with the organizers. House guns are available on a first come first served basis. Ammunitions are sold at the range for PhP8.50/round.

 

RULES & REGULATIONS

 

ALL Rules, Policies & Procedures are based on the latest International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Rule Book.

 

GUN SAFETY RULES 

  1. ALWAYS consider every gun as loaded

  2. NEVER point the muzzle of the gun at anything you do not intend to shoot

  3. ALWAYS keep your finger away from the trigger unless you are ready to shoot

  4.  BE SURE of your target and what is around it.

HANDLING OF GUNS 

  1. Handle guns at designated SAFETY AREAS only, or at the firing line under the supervision of the Range Officer (RO);

  2. Competitors are allowed to use the SAFETY AREAS under the following circumstances:

    1. Casing, uncasing, holstering of unloaded firearms;

    2. Dry firing;

    3. Inspection, stripping, cleaning & maintenance procedures.

  3. NO handling of ammunition at SAFETY AREAS;

  4. Observe Range Instructions strictly when at the firing line;

  5. Seek assistance from any Range Officer (RO) to ensure safety whenever necessary.
