Happily married to Annie De Guzman and blessed with 3 children and a granddaughter namely, Ryan Joseph and spouse Island, Roanne, Robin John and Rihanna Lowins.
Rolando Castro De Guzman was born on the 10th day of May, 1958. He is the 5th among the 6 children. His parents raised them in the farm, despite of the hard times but due to their hard work and perseverance, all of them were raised successfully.
His formal education started at Pandi Elementary School wherein he should walk 3 kilometers in the trail of rice fields and rough roads before reaching the school. He continued his secondary education at Holy Angel's Academy. Lucky enough, he continued his college education at the Adamson University and graduated in Bachelor of Science in Geology.
He worked in different mining firms in Baguio but mining industries that time went down so he decided to go back to Manila to try to excel in other fields. He applied in one of the American trading companies which is Philippine Packings & Seals Corporation, selling industrial products starting as a Sales Specialist and upon reaching the highest position in the company, he started to put his own trading company. After 3 years of operation, he shifted to develop a new corporate company. By the help of his brothers, he formed a construction firm called Gras Builders, Inc. wherein he was elected as President and COO up to the present.
Rolando "Roland" De Guzman began his Rotary Life when his 2 best friends Jurgen Von Grabowski and Jose Albaniel Jr. forced him to come and join Rotary Club of Paco Manila in RY 2000-2001, term of PP Ronnie Silvestre. Since then, he became an active member joining club meetings, community service, and handled several positions in the club through the years. In November, 2008, he was elected as President-Nominee of the club.
