The history of the ROTARY CLUB OF MANILA PANDACAN (RCMP) under District 3810 began in November 2005 as an initiative of the Rotary Club of Panday Pira Manila during the term of 101 President Ernesto Yuyek with the help of Past President Romeo Nones.
The formation of the provisional club of RCMP was enthused by the active involvement and participation in the mother club’s meetings, activities and fellowships of a group of seven young professionals. The exposure of its then aspiring members of the club to various Rotary Club and district activities made them realize the essence of Service Above Self. Along with hard work and cheers, the provisional club’s commitment was tested. Aspiring members spawned, yet with its birth pains, left the club with seven aggressive women and a man who pursued being founded by Rotary International. Challenging then, District Governor Edgardo E. Tumangan, they were dared to increase in number.
The desire to serve bound these members and through fellowships, ties were strengthened. These attracted a number of young professionals who completed the charter requirement. Rotary Club of Manila Pandacan was chartered by Rotary International on May 20, 2006.
