Medical First Responders' Course
The training instructors were from emergency management services of Manila Fire Department and also from the National Red Cross. The training will be for 2 consecutive Sundays (Feb 20 and 27).
The 1st part of the training course was held at City College Manila last Feb. 20 and the second part will be on Feb 27 at the same venue 7am to 5pm with 20 volunteers and 20 instructors, on a one on one ratio for a more detailed and comprehensive training with actual demo. Awarding of certificates will be at the closing of the training program on Feb 27 with DG Tranquil Salvador. Our district would be able to tapped these resources during times of calamities. Once again this special program although short but very timely shows how Rotary service is making life more bearable for those in need in times of disaster.
Lastly the Disaster Relief and Preparedness Group would like to extend their wholehearted gratitude to our DG Tranquil Salvador for his kindness and support for programs like these, thereby setting the perfect example of true Rotarian spirit.
As always our DG will always be in the forefront in helping RI District 3810 carry Rotary’s motto ‘Service Above Self’.
