Districts 3810 & 2820 Medical Mission for Flood Victims

September 8, 2013, Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite - District 3810 and District 2820-Japan conducted a Joint Medical Mission for the flood victims of typhoon Maring. The mission is hosted by Solid Cavite Clubs with Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone and Rotary Club of Cavite East as lead hosts and RC Manila as co-sponsor. Rotary Club of Cavite Export Processing Zone, one of the lead hosts of the mission led by First Class President Gabe Trias assisted in the operation with members of the Rotaract Club of Cavite Economic Zone and Interact Club of Rosario National High School.

Solid Cavite clubs contributed in the logistics of the mission and food for the feeding program. The First Class Presidents from Cavite, Manila and Pasay came with their fellow Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, physicians and health personnel and students from their clubs, the municipality, Cavite Medical Society, Rizal Medical Center and the University of Perpetual Help Medical Center of Laguna. Rotary Club of Manila 101 led by First Class President Joyce Reyes distributed toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash. FCP Joyce Reyes of RC Manila 101 also conducted a demonstration on dental hygiene. A total of more than 1,000 recipients came to avail of the free service.

District Governor Karen Tamayo lauded the combined efforts of the First Class Presidents. Kawit Mayor Tik Aguinaldo also came to thank the District Governor and the Rotarian volunteers for the help the district has provided to the flood victims.
