Historical Background of Blessed Ville Special School Foundation, Inc.

In the midst of “Luksuhin Ilaya” of Alfonso, Cavite a “little tree” started to grow conspicuously for years and it started to show tiny buds, then some flowers popping out until it finally bore delicious fruits to taste.

In April 2002, Mrs. Villa M. Aure, because of her love and affection to her autistic – deaf child, conceptualized the possibility of putting up a charitable institution that would teach the children with special needs in their community because during those times such institutions were rare in Southern Cavite area.

The proposal then was brought to Department of Education for approval and finalization. The institution was named Blessed Ville which signifies “Blessed Place” as the name itself provides love and blessings for the handicapped.

It was started with seven mentally handicapped children and she occupied the terrace of her house for these children. After a year, the number of special children increased; from 7 turned into 23. Mrs. Aure then occupied her living room into 2 more classrooms.

News about quality education spread like they had wings. Enrollment rose and she decided to train her two daughters to assist her in this great challenge.

This interesting historical story refers to the Blessed Ville Special School Foundation, Inc. (BVSSFI) where special children learn to talk, listen and develop their maximum potential. No. CN200511592 on the 8th of November 2007 and recognized by the Department of Education on the 13th of August 2009, under No. SPED-004, series of 2008. A proof that BVSSFI, though a small school, offers special quality service for children with special needs.
