Club Profile
The Rotary Club of Cavite East ( RCCE ) is proud of its being a daughter club of RC Cavite, the first Rotary Club organized in the province of Cavite and being a granddaughter of RC Manila, the first Rotary Club in the Philippines and in Asia.

Tracing back the organization of RC Cavite East, it was formally admitted and chartered by Rotary International on May 23, 1979.  Its chartered presentation and first induction ceremony was held in June 1979 led by its Charter President Engracio “Anching” Francisco. The territorial limits and boundaries of RC Cavite East encompasses the municipalities of Bacoor, Imus, Kawit and Dasmariñas, and during the RY 1990-91 the club released the territorial town of Dasmarinas to Rotary Club of Dasmariñas.

Since its inception in 1979, the RC of Cavite East has accomplished worthy projects that serve as a legacy of the club to its future generation.  To name the significant projects spearheaded by the officers and members of RC Cavite East quoted below as follows:

Acquisition of 405 square meters donated by provincial government of Cavite led by Gov. Juanito R. Remulla and registered in the name of RCCE Heducom Foundation, Inc. under TCT T-834747 initiated during the Rotary Year 1991 up to1993.

Construction of P2.5M edifice to serve as club’s meeting place, training and seminar center, of RC of Cavite East.  The two-storey building housed the Computer Literacy Program started during RY 1995-96 and ended on RY 2000-01.

Education is the best foundation of human resources and the RCCE is aware of the financial difficulties by the poor but deserving students to pursue computer courses , RCCE in coordination with AMA Computer Learning Center in Bacoor and Dasmariñas , through the kind hearted support of the school director, who is also a Rotarian accepted a project proposal made by the club to offer a free Computer Literacy Scholarship Program to 20-30 students every year. Since RY 1996-97 up to present, computer literacy is one of the flagship projects of the club annually.

A free medical project (cataract operation) known to the club as “Balik-Sinag” and known to the district as an “Avoidable Blindness” initiated by a Doctor/Rotarian. Ten ( 10 ) to fifteen (15)  patients are given free eye cataract operations annually. The club also provides 4 to 6 medical and dental missions every year to indigent families of Imus and Bacoor.

During its 29 years of memorable and fruitful existence.  The Rotary Club of Cavite East spearheaded and adopted Malipay Elementary School located at the remote depressed area of Sitio Malipay, Molino-IV, Bacoor, Cavite.  The RCCE introduced road improvement, grading and paving the road passable to the people in the community and to the students/commuters.  The Club constructed hollow block fence in front of the school.  The public elementary school was also a recipient of books, sports equipment, and learning materials donated by  RCCE.  This rotary year, the club as a kick-off project, plans to distribute school materials to Grade 1 students to the said school.

The Rotary Club of Cavite East, adhering to Rotary Centennial theme of “CELEBRATE ROTARY” with a balance programming of the plans and activities of the club revolving the four avenues of service, completed our Centennial Project “ PUBLIC LIBRARY “ located at the 2nd floor of RCCE Bldg. This public library will continuously serve the schools within the vicinity of the club building and to assure the continuing efficient operation, the Heducom (RCCE Foundation) will be task to handle its activities.

For the last six (6) years, the club is the recipient of  major and minor awards in the different category of the five avenues of service.
