As the yuletide season swept across Rotary International District 3810, the spirit of camaraderie and celebration came alive in the second official gathering of the Presidents-Elect and Incoming District Officers for Rotary Year 2025–2026. Held on the evening of December 16, 2024, this festive Christmas Party was once again hosted by the indefatigable District Governor-Elect Mary Mei V. Rodrigo, whose warm leadership and passion for meaningful fellowship continued to bring the District’s future leaders together in purpose and joy.

Set against a backdrop of holiday cheer and Rotary spirit, the event served as the perfect capstone to a year of preparation and connection. Following the successful “Meet & Greet” in October, this second fellowship reinforced the bonds already forged and deepened the sense of shared commitment among the incoming crop of Club Presidents and District Officers. With the theme of the night centered on “A Season to Celebrate, A Year to Prepare”, the gathering seamlessly combined the magic of Christmas with the anticipation of the service year ahead.

District Governor-Elect Mary Mei Rodrigo opened the evening with a heartfelt welcome message, commending the dedication of the Presidents-Elect and Incoming District Officers who have taken the time, amidst the busy holiday season, to celebrate together as one Rotary family. She reminded everyone that Rotary is not just about meetings and milestones, but about meaningful relationships and the joy that comes from serving with friends.

A sumptuous dinner buffet awaited the guests, featuring an array of traditional Christmas dishes, festive delicacies, and international favorites that delighted the senses. As participants dined and mingled, stories were exchanged and friendships further strengthened across clubs and sectors of the district — from the bustling heart of Manila to the coasts of Cavite and the quiet reaches of Occidental Mindoro.

Laughter and cheer echoed through the room as a lively program unfolded with interactive games that brought out the childlike wonder of the season. Whether it was team challenges, trivia contests, or surprise relay games, the Presidents-Elect and District Officers were more than ready to play along with gusto — proving that Rotary leaders can lead with both seriousness of purpose and lightness of heart.

A generous raffle segment saw participants winning exciting prizes — ranging from gadgets and appliances to Rotary-themed memorabilia and holiday baskets. The excitement was palpable with each name called, yet the real prize of the evening was the genuine sense of belonging and unity felt among all those present.

Adding further delight to the celebration were musical and dance performances, with several Presidents-Elect and District Officers showcasing their talents in both solo and group numbers. From classic Christmas carols to upbeat pop medleys and even a surprise ballroom number, the night sparkled with creativity and joy, proving that Rotary leaders are not only passionate about service but are equally gifted in the arts.

The evening ended with a communal toast and a simple yet powerful message from DGE Mary Mei: “As we celebrate the season of giving, let us also remember the greater gift we hold in our hands — the gift of service, of leadership, and of friendship. Let us carry this spirit into the new year with hearts full and minds ready.”

The 2024 Presidents-Elect Christmas Party was more than just a celebration — it was a reaffirmation of Rotary’s enduring spirit: warm, generous, joyful, and united. With two successful fellowships already behind them, the Presidents-Elect and Incoming District Officers of District 3810 march toward Rotary Year 2025–2026 with renewed energy and strengthened fellowship, ready to serve, lead, and inspire under the dynamic leadership of District Governor-Elect Mary Mei V. Rodrigo.
